James Bowen, 73, of Chicago, Illinois passed Friday, January 15, 2016. He was born to Earl Bowen, and Ms. Bowen on March 05, 1942 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. James graduated from Crookland High in 1952 and received a degree from the Military in 1960. 

James worked in Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States until he retired in 1997. He also volunteered at the Salvation Army in 1988 to 2012 and was passionate about affecting the most positive change in people. In 1988 he received an honor for his service.

James is survived by 1 child Annemarie Leikas, (Albert newson).
