Presl, James B. "Jim"James B. "Jim" Presl, age 85, formerly of Two Rivers, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at St. Mary's @ Felician Village, Manitowoc. Jim was born on June 23, 1931, in Two Rivers, a son of the late Gabriel and Elsie (Stoer) Presl. He graduated from Marion High School with the Class of 1949. Following his graduation, Jim served over seas in the U.S. Army during the
Korean War from 1950 to 1952. On April 7, 1956, he married Mary Lou Karbowski at St. Luke's Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Jim was employed with the City of Two Rivers for over 30 years, retiring as sexton of the cemeteries in 1993. He was an avid outdoors man who enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting and also enjoyed watching the Badgers, Brewers and Packers. Jim cherished the time he was able to spend during his retirement years with his family and friends, fishing and relaxing, at Otter Tail Lake in Richville, Minnesota. Survivors include his wife: Mary Lou Presl; two sons and daughters-in-law: Rod and Debra Presl of Two Rivers, and Brian and Theresa Presl of Mishicot; two daughters and sons-in-law: Cheryl and Greg Mix of Manitowoc and Dawn and Mark Murray of Ogden, Utah; nine grandchildren: Jayme (Jason) Schwoerer, Shanna Donahue, Krystle (Troy) Zich, Kelly Bohman, Dayna Eiau, Travis (Amber) Bohman, Jennifer (Matt) Kinsella, Brandon Presl and Dillion Presl; twelve great grandchildren and his dog: Jack. He is further survived by a sister and two brothers-in-law: Lois and Don Moldenhour and John Popper; along with other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two sons: Patrick and Michael Presl and a sister: Betty Popper. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 31, 2016, at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, 3201 Mishicot Rd., Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Maurice Mmegbuadimma with private family burial of his cremated remains in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers. Military honors will be accorded by members of American Legion Post #165 and
VFW Post #1248 of Two Rivers immediately following the service. The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Monday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. There will be no Sunday evening visitation. Online condolences may be sent to the family by visiting
