Ferron, James A.James A. Ferron, age 78 of Kewaunee died on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at home surrounded by his family after a short courageous battle with cancer. He was born on October 10, 1938 in Algoma to the late Manuel and Hattie (DeGuelle) Ferron.He married Michelene Rehak on September 9, 1992 in Chicago.Jim was a professional truck driver for over sixty years. He started his career with W. N. Daul Transfer Lines and then became an owner/operator over the road truck driver for many years. He then returned to W. N. Daul until retiring in 2015. Over the course of his career he logged over six million miles driving through the lower forty-eight states. He was a devoted Packers and Nascar fan.He and Michelene enjoyed going on road trips when he thought he didn't drive enough during the week. They also enjoyed stopping at casinos along the way. He also collected many jokes and stories from on the road which he enjoyed sharing. His sense of humor will be greatly missed.Survivors include his wife: Michelene; her son: Nick Rehak and special friend, Becca; his children: Julie (Bruce) Repitz; Deb (Paul) Jirtle; Jim (Lori) Ferron and Andrea (Bruce) Schmidt; eight grandchildren: Eric (Angie) Repitz; Craig (Mandy) Repitz; Collin Repitz; Lauren (Wes) Wood; Lindsey Davis and special friend, Tim; Tyler Ferron; Jordan Schmidt and special friend, Karlie; Joey Schmidt and special friend, Rebecca; James Robert Rehak, due in April; five great grandchildren: Ali; Blake; Cece; Brody; Rausy; one brother and sister-in-law: Don and Bonnie Ferron and one sister: Jane Ferron; two brothers-in-law: Mike (Diane) Rehak and Mark (Debbie) Rehak and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and special friends. He was preceded in death by a brother: Al Ferron; a nephew: Michael Ferron and his father-in-law and mother-in-law: Henry (Hank) and Ruth Rehak.A private memorial service will be held at a later date.Go to
