DeCosta – Jalyn Shakir DeCosta, the adopted son of Mr. Peter DeCosta (preceded in death) and Lilea Nelson DeCosta. Jalyn DeCosta departed this life November 5, 2019, born December 13, 1998 to Denisia King (biological mother) in Jacksonville, Florida. He attended Raines High School and was a member of the football team.

On November 5, 2019, Jayln departed this life. He was preceded in death by his adopted father, and other family members: Angel Burnard, Laura DeCosta and Terry Gibson.

Jayln leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, Lilea DeCosta; siblings, Andre DeCosta, Andrea King, An’tri Coleman, Elijah Coleman, Jarven Jones, Tenicea Ware, Rudolph, Louis Essie, and Cydia; grandparents, Charles Burnard, Grandfather and Anna Brown, grandmother (Milton); aunts/uncle: Andrea, LaCora, Nadia and Willie Hardee, Cierra Burnard and LaKesha McFadden; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts and friends.
