Joosten Wolf, Jacquelyn Joy JudithJacquelyn Joy Judith Joosten Wolf, age 90, formerly of Amery, Wisconsin, died peacefully on Sunday, November 6, 2016, at Stone Crest Residence, in Wausau, Wisconsin, under the loving care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services and Stonecrest staff.Jacquelyn was born on February the "1th," 1926 to the late Louis and Eulalia (Markee) Joosten, and lived in the unique town of Rudolph, Wisconsin. She was number 5 in a fun family of 7. At age 9 she traveled to Washington, D.C. with the Badger Booster Band, playing the sousaphone, beginning a life-long love of everything Tuba.After graduating from Rudolph High School in 1943, she attended the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater. She graduated in 1947 and taught business subjects at Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin. She married Earl Wolf in 1948 and moved to Luck, Wisconsin, where Earl was a business teacher. Jackie taught business courses at Milltown, Frederic and later at Clayton - loving every minute of teaching!Two children were welcomed to the "Wolf Den" - Wendy Ann and Kevin Earl. After Kevin was born, the family moved to Eau Claire where Earl sold New York Life Insurance until 1963, when he purchased the Granum Insurance Agency in Amery.Jackie was a party waiting to happen. She loved toasts at cocktail hour and all manner of poetry, even the off color! She loved meeting new people and took pride in being "good company!" She was a loyal friend and wonderful mother and grannyma. She found solace in playing the piano, and enjoyed big band music, with a special love for Sinatra! Jackie was a member of the Amery Woman's Club, the "Bakery Biddies," the Amery Women's Golf League, and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Amery.In August of 2003, she moved to Wausau, Wisconsin where Kevin and his family live, and became a member of St. Anne Catholic Church.Jackie is survived by her children, Wendy (James "Moses") Ward of Fairbanks, Alaska, Kevin (Louise) Wolf of Wausau, Wisconsin, 4 grandchildren, Jessie (Shaun) Whitman, Daniel (Kristina) Ward, Josh (Gina) Wolf, Jacob (Hannah) Wolf, 4 great grandchildren, and her sisters, Joan Yensh and Mary Lou Rogers. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Earl (1987), sisters Janet and Gloria, and brothers Beryl and Bruce.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM on Monday, November 14, 2016 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Amery, Wisconsin with Father John Drummy officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 6 PM on Sunday, November 13, 2016 at the Williamson~White Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
