Jackie Armstead , 86, of Denver, Colorado, passed Tuesday, February 25, 2020. Jackie was born to Jessie James Armstead , and Gladys Thelma Perkins, May 12, 1933 in Haskell, Oklahoma.

Jackie attended and graduated from Morris Area in Oklahoma. He later went on and serviced our country in the U.S Army for many years. After his years in the service he took a passion to cooking and become a chef. He also loved to travel and lived a free spirited life. He was a very private person, but when he was around he was a very loving and caring man. He brought smiles and joy to everyone around him. 

Jackie was preceded in death by his parents Jessie and Gladys Armstead. His sisters Ardie, Joyce, and Maxine Armstead. His brother Carl Armstead and a host of nieces and nephews.

Jackie was survived by his niece Gladys Crowley of Denver, Colorado. He also is survived by a host and great nieces and nephew's.

Life is but a stopping place, a pause in what's to be, a resting place along the road, to sweet eternity. We all have different journeys, different paths along the way, we were all meant to learn some things, But never meant to stay. Our Destination is a place, far greater than we know, for some the journey is quicker, for yours the journey was slow. Now that your journey has finally ended. You can now claim your great reward and find everlasting peace with the Lord.

Uncle Jackie we love you and you are going to be missed but we know you have a new journey to begin so until we meet again.
