Jack ZieglerZANESVILLE: Jack Ziegler, 84, of Zanesville, a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away at 12:06 a.m. Monday, March 17, 2014 at Genesis Hospice-Morrison House.He was born on April 30, 1929 in South Zanesville a son of the late Herman and Gladys Edwards Ziegler. He attended Fair Oaks Baptist Church. He was a United States Army veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. He loved bowling, golfing, and especially hunting and fishing with his special friend Larry Neff. He had been employed at Armco Steel for 37 years.He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Barbara Ziegler; two sons, Mike Ziegler and Lori, Mark Ziegler and Christa; one granddaughter, Cassie Ziegler, one grandson, Brandon Ziegler; Many beloved friends and extended family. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Stu Ziegler.Friends may call from 3-6 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home, 5765 Gladstone Drive, White Cottage where funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon Thursday, March 20, 2014. Pastor Mark Shoemaker officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice and Palliative Care or Fair Oaks Baptist Church.
