DELAWARE — Joseph "Joe" Neville, 54, of Delaware, died early Saturday morning, March 18, 2017, at his home in Delaware after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on Oct. 25, 1962 on Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland, the son of the late Carol A. (Elliott) and Phillip F. Neville Jr.
Joe was a graduate of Rutherford B. Hayes High School and a Veteran of the United States Army. He worked as an electroplater for Abrasive Technology in Lewis Center.
On March 14, 1986 he married Jessica Roberts. They just celebrated 31 years together as husband and wife.
Joe was a church board member at Eastside Mission Church where he was over a 20 year member.
He had a deep love of Christian music, fishing, and playing his drums. He was also a magician.
He will be missed by his wife, Jessica; their daughter, Jerrica Neville of Delaware; brother, Jeffrey (Candi) Neville of Delaware; his sister, Beverly Nadine Neville of Delaware; nephew, David Neville of Delaware; and special friends, Dan Ferguson Jr., Mikey Sell, Rick Hunt, and Joe Lyons.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer; paternal grandparents, Dorothy and Phillip Neville Sr.; and maternal grandparents, Henry and Jessica Elliott.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 11 a.m. at East Side Mission Church, 32 Joy Ave., Delaware, OH 43015, with Rev. Donnie Akers officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow immediately at Radnor Cemetery. Friends may call on the family at the church on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m.
