Flynn, Iva LorraineIva Lorraine Flynn, age 89 of Suring, passed away on November 7, 2016 at Woodland Village Nursing Home in Suring. She was born on September 11, 1927 to the late Dudley and Ella (Grimm) Whitney in Belvidere, Illinois. Lorraine graduated from Mountain High School with the Class of 1945. She married Louis "Corky" Flynn on February 18, 1950 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Suring. Together they owned and operated Corky's Bar in Suring for 16 years and then in Breed for 20 years. Lorraine was known for her chili, hamburgers, and Friday Fish Fry.Lorraine is survived by her husband of 66 years, Corky; 4 children, Carol Andrews, Dean (Kris) Flynn, Marie (Doug Kurek) Blaser, and Sharon (Mike) Jansen; 7 grandchildren, Chuck (Kasee) Andrews, Kate (Jeff) Osborne, Meagan (Nate) Blazejewski, Kelly (Eric Deterville) Flynn, Jennifer (Jim) Magnuson, Jason (Angela) Blaser, Michael (Nancy) Jansen; great-grandchildren, Halie, Jay, Kenzie, Aaron, Matthew, Dylan, Raegan, Owen; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Whitney and Billie Miller; brother-in-law, Mick Flynn. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Charles, sister Geraldine, and sister-in-law Mary Flynn.Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at St. Michael's Catholic Church Chapel at Chute Pond (12494 Hwy. 32/64 Suring) from 10:30am until 12:30pm followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 1 pm. Interment will take place at Breed Union Cemetery following the Mass. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
