Irma Gonzalez, 58 of El Paso, Texas passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at her home in Buda, TX after a long, courageous battle with cancer. She was born on December 28, 1957, in Torreon, Coahuila Mexico, to Urania Chavez, who has survived her. In 1967, Irma came to the U.S. and made her way to El Paso, TX with her mother and two sisters, Mary and Theresa. Irma was employed at the El Paso Water Company for over 21 years and made many lasting friendships. She was the beloved mother of Venessa Robles and Jennifer Gonzalez and grandmother of Adam Robles and (furbaby) Gizmo Gonzalez. Irma was a strong woman who fought many physical ailments for 16 years, but had a strong will to live and was filled with positivity and had a kind giving heart. Irma was a wonderful mother and enjoyed her last years living with her daughters in the Austin, TX area.
