Howard G. ImmellCHILLICOTHE: Howard G. "Pap" Immell, 91, of Chillicothe, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at National Church Residences Traditions, following an extended illness. He was born on March 5, 1926, in Chillicothe, to the late Charles and Mary (Grimes) Immell. On September 6, 1945 he married Betty J. (Gunlock) Immell, who survives.Also surviving are his children, Mary (Raymond) Wiget, Kathy Bennett, and Charles "Joe" (Tammy) Immell, all of Chillicothe; grandchildren, Rodney (Tami) Wiget, David "Rusty" Wiget, Kathryn (Charles) Vest, Betsy Bennett, Jessica Immell Cheadle, and Charles "CJ" (LaRissa) Immell; great-grandchildren, Jordan (Dale) McCullough, Jenna (James Hatfield) Wiget, Evelyn Wiget, Ava Wiget, Josie Vest, and Rilynn Immell; one great-great-granddaughter, Teagan McCullough; a special friend, Robert "Bob" (Ruth) Zwayer, of Circleville. In addition to his parents, Howard was preceded in death by a sister, Majorie Immell, and son-in-law, Terry Bennett. Howard managed the family farm for over 71 years, and worked as a fertilizer dealer with WR Grace. He was on the board of directors for the former Jackson Production Credit Association, and a part of numerous other farm organizations. He was a trustee at the Kingston United Methodist Church, and also a member of the Crouse Chapel United Methodist Church. Howards family and friends will fondly remember him for his big smile and generous nature.In accordance with his wishes, cremation will be preformed and there will be no public calling hours. A memorial service will be held at 4:00pm on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at the Haller Funeral Home with Pastor Barry Bennett and Pastor Martin Denes officiating.The family would like to give special thanks to his care giver, Christina Gambil, for all her love and care.
