Floor, Howard B. Howard, age 92, died of natural causes on October 30, 2017 at Hospice of the Valley's Ryan House. He was born on April 18, 1925 in Youngstown, OH. Howard joined the Marine's after graduating from High School in 1943, and was wounded on Guam. He spent the rest of his service in Washington D.C. After his discharge, he attended Youngstown College (now University), and married Maureen Geltch. Howard and his family of four, craving warmth, moved to Phoenix in the 50's, and he lived in the Valley of the Sun for the rest of his life. For the last portion of his career, he worked as a social worker for the AZ Dept. of Economic Security, and happily retired from that position. Howard's main passion during retirement was, like many others, golf! His survivors include daughter Cathy (Rene), son Mark (Madelon), granddaughter Noelle (Melvin), and great-granddaughters Cantrell and Aaliyah. As a final act of service, Howard donated his body to Science Care. In accordance with his wishes, no services are planned.
