Homer Earl Wells Jr.MARION: Homer was born on April 13, 1949 to Homer Wells Sr. and Loretta (Patterson) Wells and passed away on October 2, 2016. Homer graduated from Ridgedale High School, took classes at OSUM and Marion Tech and was a life-long resident of Marion.In addition to working at Whirlpool he also worked in the electronics and telecommunications field. However, he spent most of his adult life caring for his parents until their deaths. Homer is survived by his sister, Delores (Sally) Chevalier, one niece, Belinda Shuster, four nephews, Jack Chevalier III, Douglas Chevalier, Richard Chevalier, Martin Chevalier and many great nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, Homer was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Jack Chevalier Jr. and nephew Charles Chevalier.On Sunday, October 1, 2017, a private memorial service was held for Homer at East Harbor State Park which was the location of many fond childhood memories for Homer. Homer enjoyed long challenging discussions about topics of the day, politics and religion. Homer was a dearly loved brother, uncle, and friend and will be missed.
