Herman CookPORT CLINTON: Herman Cook, 79, of Port Clinton, OH, died Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at his home. He was born on June 10, 1937 in Wilder, VA, a son of the late Jasper & Nannie (Osborne) Cook.Herman was a retired employee of USCO, Port Clinton. He enjoyed playing golf and woodworking, and was an avid fisherman.On June 28, 1958, Herman married the former Betty Jo Glovier, and she survives. Also surviving are his daughters, Karen (Bill) Garretson, Akron, OH, Kathy (Eric) O'Brien, Oak Harbor, OH, and Donna (Mark) Szymanowski, Fremont, OH; son-in-law, Mitchell Conners, Oak Harbor; brother, Walter Cook, Lacarne, OH; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Dana Denise Conners; 8 brothers, a sister, and a great-grandchild.Family and friends are invited to call from 2-8 P.M. Friday at Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor, where funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 29, 2016. Earl Taylor will officiate, and interment will follow at Salem Township Union Cemetery, Oak Harbor. Memorial contributions may be made to a .
