Mr. Henry "Hank" Lenertz, age 99, of Inverness, Florida, passed away on November 5, 2016 in Inverness, Florida. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, November 8, 2016, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Inverness, FL. Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call between 9:00 AM and 9:45 AM at the Inverness Chapel of Hooper Funeral Homes. Mr. Lenertz was born on May 31, 1917 to the late Peter and Johanna (Stattelman) Lenertz. His death ended a long generation of siblings, as he survived the passing of 5 sisters and 3 brothers, two wives, Marge and Adele, and many other family members. He leaves behind 9 nieces and nephews.Hank was employed in the Aerospace Industry in Bartavia, Illinois until 1971 where he was an inspector of all machine shop operations, projects and welds. He set up the radiographic film storage so complete traceability would be available when called upon.After retiring he joined the DuPage Sheriff's Office in Illinois and became a court bailiff up until he moved to Wright Street in Inverness, FL where he spent many years. Hank passed away while residing at Highland Place, which had been his pleasant home for 5 ½ years. Online condolences may be sent to the family at
