Henry C Lewis, Sr., age 85, passed away on Wednesday, March 22, 2017, in Tallahassee, Florida. He was born on February 22, 1932, in Bagdad, Florida. He was a longtime resident of Tallahassee, Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Nettie Lewis. Henry was a Retired USAF Master Sargent. He also retired from the United States Postal Service in Tallahassee, Florida as a Senior Mechanic. Henry attended Leon High School and Tallahassee Community College in Tallahassee. Henry was a member of Epiphany Lutheran Church in Tallahassee. He loved meeting and helping people, spending time with his family, fishing, and travelling in their RV. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Lewis (Ann); four children and their spouses, Henry and Bonnie Lewis, Kenneth and Pamela Lewis, Jeffery and Cheryl Lewis, Julie and Greg Eberhardt; five grandchildren and their spouses, Christopher and Kelsey Lewis, Michael and Heather Lewis, Jeffery and Megan Lewis, Heather and Thomas Callaway, and Chelsea Eberhardt; four great grandchildren, Avery Lewis, Aaron Callaway, Austin Callaway, and Kyan Cardis. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Epiphany Lutheran Church, 8300 Deer Lake S, Tallahassee, FL 32312, at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 31, 2017. A private interment at gravesite, with military honors, will be held at the Tallahassee National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Epiphany Lutheran Church, 8300 Deer Lake S, Tallahassee, FL 32312.
