Henry (Hank) Francis Harris was born on December 11, 1934, to William Norris Harris and Ella Lena Parker in Mount Holly, N.J. He enlisted in the Marines on September 13, 1953. After boot camp he came home and married Joan V. Clifton and together they had ten children, 4 of whom are in Heaven with him. Henry was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ella Lena; three sons, Rudy, Jeffrey and Daniel; two grandchildren, Michael and Kiah; and ten siblings. He is survived by his children, Debbie Karpovage of Tennessee, Gary Harris, Sandi Foor, Sharon Harris, Vickie Gathe, and Patrick Harris all of Alamogordo; 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Hank never knew a stranger and was always there to feed anyone or give shelter. He gave his life to Christ in 2005 and was baptized soon after. He left this world on September 16, 2017. His journey here is finished but he is rejoicing with his Savior. The Memorial Service for Henry Harris will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Monday, September 25, 2017, at Christ Community Church.The Harris family has entrusted their loved one to the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home to direct the arrangements.
