PottsFebruary 19, 1926 - March 13, 2017WellsvilleHelen Elizabeth Warner Potts went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 13, 2017, she was 91 years old.She was born on February 19, 1926, in Monroe Township, Cumberland County. She was the daughter of Frank and Lillian Katherine (Hartman) Warner. She was the youngest of nine children and was pre-deceased by six sisters and two brothers, Ada Carbaugh, Dorothy Runk, Blanche Acri, Romaine Wennell, Ruth Landis, Marjorie Warner, Charles Warner, and Frank Joe, Jr.Mrs. Potts is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth Richard Potts of 68 years, Helen leaves behind six children, William (Virginia), Michael (Linda), James (Vicki), Kathy (Luther) Burkholder, Edward, and Steven Lipko (Janice); three grandchildren, Kristin (Ahmed), Michael (Karen), Milette; three great-grandchildren, Imran, Simon, and Breanne; and several nieces and nephews.Helen was a graduate of Mechanicsburg High School, class of 1945. She was active in the PTA and her sons' Little League baseball team. She loved baseball and her favorite team was the New York Yankees. She was a former den mother for the Boy Scouts of America. Helen was a former Sunday School teacher. She was an active member in the Northwestern York County Democratic Club and a committee woman for several years. Helen loved to read, listen to music and liked to dance. In her later years she suffered from dementia and alzheimer's disease but was a strong fighter to the very end. The family would like to thank the staff of Manor Care, Kingston Court, York, who were very loving, caring, attentive, and treated her with dignity and respect. Helen will be sorely missed by all of her family and friends and her impact on their lives was immense. Services will be held Monday, March 20, 2017, at 11 a.m. in the Cocklin Funeral Home, Inc., 30 N. Chestnut St., Dillsburg with the Rev. John Estes officiating. Burial will follow in the Barrens Salem Union Cemetery, Dillsburg.
