Helen taught Nursing at Mercer Univ. In Georgia in the mid-1980s and worked at various psychiatric nursing facilities throughout western Massachusetts in the 1990s. In a career shift, she took a position as a nursing assistant at Jonesboro Nursing & Rehab Center, where she worked until her retirement.

Helen loved good food and socializing, enjoyed going to movies and plays with friends, and had a wonderful smile that could light up a room. More Importantly, Helen loved spending time with her grandchildren and family.

She is survived by her niece, Angie Hemifinger and several grandnieces, all of whom live in Valdosta Georgia, and brought great joy to her later years.
