Mrs. Helen K. McAllister76, of Woodstock, GA, passed away on July 12, 2017. She was born on February 8, 1941 in Indianapolis, IN to the late James and Helen Kirkpatrick. After graduating from the St Agnes Academy, Helen married John R. McAllister and they had 2 sons.She was a devoted homemaker and loving mother. She was preceded in death by John R. McAllister. She later remarried to Alan I. Chorney and they enjoyed 20 years together. She loved to go to concerts and saw her favorite band The Eagles perform 9 times.After her sons left home, she worked in various administrative positions until retiring from Panasonic USA. Helen was valued and admired by her coworkers and employers.  She was very lively and opinionated! She loved cats and in her golden years enjoyed caring for them.Helen will be remembered as a proud mother and leaves behind her sons, Daniel J. "Max" McAllister and Grady M. McAllister. She is also survived by her 4 nieces, Kerry, Kristie, Kelly and Kyle Kirkpatrick.The family will receive friends at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 29, 2017 with the service to begin at 5:00 p.m. in the chapel of Woodstock Funeral Home with a reception to follow.
