Helen Irene Lindsey, 72, of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, passed peacefully at the Ryan House - Hospice of the Valley in Phoenix, Arizona on Thursday, September 19, 2019. Helen was born in Dallas, Pennsylvania on July 21, 1947. She was a strong woman who always supported her family.

She is preceded in death by her late husband, David Thomas Lindsey; her parents Helen I. Kotyk and Andrew J. Kotyk; and her brothers, Andrew Kotyk, William Kotyk, and John Kotyk.

Helen is survived by her sister Gloria Volansky, brother Robert Kotyk and sister-in-law Rosemarie Kotyk; her four children, Timothy Odland, Brenda Haughwout, Tracy A. Lindsey, Marcianna (Barry) Hosier, and Laurie Lindsey; her grandchildren, Meghan Blackwell, Morgan Hosier, Aiden Hosier and Jakeb Lindsey and nieces and nephews.

Helen had a passion for animals and adopted several cats through various humane societies either in Pennsylvania or Arizona.  In lieu of flowers, the family would request that a donation be made in Helen's name for either the Arizona Humane Society or the American Society for the Prevention and Cruelty to Animals.
