Fermanich, HelenHelen R. Fermanich, 97, Green Bay resident, passed away October 8, 2017, at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 6, 1920, in Phlox, WI, daughter to the late George and Anna (Van Price) Schisel. Helen married Myron Fermanich on October 17, 1939, together they raised six children. He preceded her in death on June 14, 1968. Helen worked 26 years at St. Vincent Hospital. She was past president of St. Vincent Retirement Club and a member of St. Francis Xavier, Green Bay. She took pride in watching her children and grandchildren play sports. Helen also enjoyed family gatherings, and she always had her delicious chocolate chip cookies ready for everyone. Helen was also an avid Packer and Brewers fan.Helen is survived by four daughters, Sharon Thompson, Nancy (Randall) Skarda, Diane Vorpahl, and Cindy Fermanich; special friends Jerome Dolski Jr, Chuck DeGuelle, Greg Pieters, and Barb Burnikel, along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.Besides her husband Myron, she was preceded in death by four sons, Gary and Michael, and infant sons, Joel David and Myron Joseph; along with two brothers and three sisters.Friends may gather at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 413 St. John Street, Green Bay, on Thursday, October 12, 2017, from 9:30 a.m. until the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Joseph Dorner will preside. Burial will be in the Queen of Peace Cemetery in Antigo on Friday, October 13, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. Online condolences may be sent to the family at
