Hazel Marie Coyle, 75, of Boise, passed away on the morning of November 23, 2015 in Meridian with family and friends by her side.A viewing will be held at Accent Funeral Home, 1303 N. Main St., Meridian on Thursday, December 3, 2015 from 7 to 9 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Meridian Friend's Church, 1021 West Pine, Meridian, Idaho on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. Chaplain Bruce Juhl will be officiating. Interment will follow at the Meridian Cemetery. Remembrances may be left for the family at www.AccentFuneral.com. Services are under the direction of Accent Funeral Home, Meridian. Hazel was a full blooded Blackfeet Indian. She was born on December 16, 1939 in Browning, Montana to George Crossguns and Alice Earrings. She was the second oldest to brothers: William, Virgil and Georgie. She also had two older half-sisters, Bernice Skunk Cap and Katie Crossguns. Hazel grew up in Browning, Montana. She attended high school and graduated from Flandreau, South Dakota. She also spent time in Los Angeles and San Francisco, California and Las Vegas, Nevada. She made her home in Boise, Idaho at Leisure Villa. Hazel was a caretaker in her travels. She was employed at multiple jobs. Hazel loved the holidays because of time spent with family and the delicious foods. She also enjoyed the picnics and parties with the Native American Coalition of Boise (NACOB). Hazel was known as the NACOB grandma. Halloween was a fun time for Hazel; she never missed a time to dress up. She enjoyed going to the movies and shopping with special friends.Hazel especially enjoyed quality time with her companion, Beauty, the cat.Survivors include her nephew, Clyde Crossguns and family of Cut Bank, Montana, niece, Myrna Bond and family of Meridian, Idaho, and special brothers of the heart, Ron and Fred Crossguns of Browning, Montana. Hazel leaves behind many great nieces, nephews and cousins in Idaho and Montana. If I have forgotten anyone, please forgive me.Hazel's family would like to thank Ann Smith who was Hazel's caregiver for four and one half years before she became critically ill. A special thank you goes out to Troy Clark, Myrna's fiancé who cared for Hazel daily until her passing. Also thank you to First Home Health and Hospice Care, special thanks to Barb Eichman for her compassionate care of Hazel.Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, George and Alice, her brothers: William, Georgie and Virgil, also by her two sisters, Bernice and Katie.Donations are suggested to be given to NACOB and the Humane Society in her name.Hazel, we know your suffering is over and you are finally at peace in a happier place with the rest of the family. Our pain of missing you will long be in our hearts, we will always remember your beautiful smile and sense of humor. Hazel made many lasting friendships throughout her life.
