Steudel, Hazel A.Hazel A. Steudel, 93, joined her Savior and loved ones in Heaven on Friday, July 21, 2017 at the Heritage Woods Hospice Residence. Hazel was born on September 21, 1923 to Earl and Adelia (Falck) Thiele. On August 5, 1944 she was united in marriage to John Steudel at St. Paul Ev. Lutheran Church. Hazel worked at Wisconsin Electric and later as the managing secretary of the Zuelke building until her retirement in 1982. She was an active member at St. Paul and volunteer at numerous places dear to her heart. She also enjoyed traveling, sewing, gardening, cheering for the Packers and spending time with her family and friends. Hazel was an excellent cook and had a passion for the freer things in life. Hazel's strong faith made it possible for her to always hope, trust and persevere throughout her life. Hazel is survived by her children; Sandra (Cliff) Buelow, James (Joanne) Steudel, 13 grandchildren and their spouses, 12 great grandchildren, sister-in-law; Evelyn Thiele, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John, their son David, a grandson Brad, siblings Harold, Robert, Elmer, Almira, a son-in-law Wally and special friend Clayton Gardinier. The funeral service for Hazel will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 11:00 AM at ST. PAUL EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 302 N. Morrison St. A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. Online condolences may be expressed at www.wichmannfargo.com.
