Harvey Emil Prochaska RACINE- Harvey Emil Prochaska, 87, passed away at his home on Thursday, September 4, 2014, with his family by his side. Harvey was born on the family farm in Caledonia to Emil and Helen (nee, Kvapil) on September 10, 1926. After graduating from Horlick High School, Harvey went back to the family farm to work, with his brothers which he truly enjoyed. Harvey and his three brothers formed Prochaska Brothers Farm Incorporated, which is still in business today. In the winter months Harvey would join his brothers again as an employee of Jacobson Manufacturing. On January 14, 1950 he married the love of his life Carol Jean Wuerzberger. After retiring as president of Prochaska Brothers Farm Inc. Harvey and Carol moved to Eagle River where they lived for almost 25 years, before coming back to Racine to be closer to their family. Some of Harveys most memorable times were spent cruising with Carol and fishing in Canada for over 52 years, one of his last trips included four generations of family. Harvey believed in the five Fs: Faith, Family, Friends, Farming, and Fishing. Survivors include his wife, Carol; children, Robert (Terri), Lynn (Roy) Klepel, Gary (Jo Ann), and Kevin (Wendy); grandchildren, Eric (Karin), Holly (Kyle) Creuziger, Anna (Jeff) Carroll, Aaron (Nicole) Klepel, Brian (Marcy), Brandon, Grant, Amy (Bill), Nicole, Melanie (Jon) Lemke, Cora and Emma; brother, James (Janice); sister, Patricia (Vernon) Frank; and three sister- in-laws, Janice (Robert) Tabor, Susan (John) Vogt, Marietta (Ronald) Heuer. Harvey is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Roland (June), Donald (Betty), niece; Jamie, and nephew; Kurt. Funeral services for Harvey will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church-Caledonia on Saturday, September 13, at 11 a.m. with Pastor David Wierschke officiating. Interment will follow the services at Caledonia Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Friday evening September 12, 2014 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Additional visitation time will be held at church prior to the funeral service from 9 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family has suggested memorials to the church.
