Brigham, Harold G.Harold George Brigham, age 84, of New London, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2017 at his residence following a long duration of battling lung cancer. Harold was born on February 7, 1932, to the late George and Frances (Colwitz) Brigham in New London. He served his country during the US Korean War in the US Navy. On June 11, 1955, Harold was united in marriage to Shirley Dillon in Waukesha, WI. She preceded him in death on April 17, 2008. He worked at Simmons Furniture for 40 years until his retirement in 1995. Harold enjoyed working on small engines, fishing in his younger days and he was always willing to help people out.Harold is survived by his children, Susan Clark, Cindy Brigham, Douglas (Lori) Brigham and Kitty (Randy) Erickson; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and one on the way; brothers, Stan (Fran) Brigham and Don Brigham; and sister-in-law, Judy Brigham. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Harold was preceded in death by his parents; wife and grandson, Brian Erickson.A memorial service for Harold will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 19, 2017 at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home in New London. Pastor Greg Watling will be officiating. Visitation will take place from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Turney Hill Cemetery, Town of Liberty.The family wishes to thank ThedaCare Hospice for their tender care- especially Marie and Sara.
