Hans G. Malkmus1930 - 2015Hans G. Malkmus, 85, of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015, at his residence with his loving family by his side.He was born on May 20, 1930, to the late Hans and Dorothea (Strehlow) Malkmus in Kenosha. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha.On Feb. 20, 1951, he married Dolores Heuft in Kenosha.Hans worked for the City of Kenosha in the street division for over 37 years, retiring in June of 1989.Hans enjoyed riding motorcycles, racing motorcycles in his younger years, watching the Packers and going to his cabin up north. Hans was an avid bowler, bowling his first 300 game at the age of 80. He was also proud of the fact he bowled on Bowling with the Champs.Hans is survived by his loving wife of over 64 years Dolores; his children, Carol Marie Romanowski of Kenosha, Doris Jean Malkmus of Duluth, Minn., John Paul (Christine) Malkmus of Kenosha, and Glen Francis (Vicki Viriglio) Malkmus of Somers; his grandchildren, Adam Malkmus, Kevin (Shelly) Malkmus, Jourdan Malkmus and Maxwell Malkmus, with one great grandchild on the way; his step granddaughters Shannon Volpe and Audra (Jonathan) Tempesta and families; and his sisters, Dorothy Gaethke of Beloit, and Lillian Willems of Somers.He is preceded in death by three brothers, Frederick, Gustave and August; and two infant sisters, Lily and Margaret.Funeral Services for Hans will be held on Saturday, Dec. 19, at 11 a.m. at the Bruch Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday evening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and again on Saturday morning from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
