H. B. "Bud" HIldrethJuly 26, 1923 - June 7, 2016Howard B. "Bud" Hildreth, age 92, of Pocatello, Idaho, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at a local care facility. He was born on July 26, 1923 in Pocatello, Idaho to Roy and Daisy Dennisson Hildreth.Bud grew up in Crystal, Idaho. He received his early education, 1st through 6th grade, in a one room school. His family then moved to Pocatello. Bud graduated from Pocatello High School in 1941.Bud enlisted in the Marines February 16, 1943. He served in the South Pacific Area and was honorably discharged February 11, 1946.He met and married Edna Mae Mathers on June 14, 1944 in Pocatello. They enjoyed 69 years of marriage prior to Edna Mae's passing in 2013. Bud worked as a farmer and rancher in Pocatello. He owned and operated Rock In Dairy, and later raised purebred Simmental beef cattle. He also worked as a saving officer. Bud enjoyed fishing, hunting, ranching, square dancing, camping and being around his family.Bud was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Mae; his parents; his brother, Harvey; and his sister, Delta Montague; and a son-in-law Dale Benesh. He is survived by his children, Linda Benesh of Pitman, New Jersey, Patti (Dean) Strawn Allred of Castleford, Idaho, Spencer (Theda) Hildreth of Pocatello, Keith (Karen) Hildreth of Pocatello, and Arla (Travis) Wilhelm of Pocatello; as well as numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.A private service will be held by the family at a later date.
