GREGORY L. WAGENKNECHT, 51 FREEPORT - Gregory L. Wagenknecht, 51, of Freeport, died Friday, June 19, 2015. Gregory was born on October 22, 1963 in Freeport, the son of Jim and Charyl (Wing) Wagenknecht. Gregory worked with his father at Freeport Seamless Gutters & Siding. In his younger years Greg was a professional motorcycle rider. Greg was a member of the American Motorcycle Association. He enjoyed following the Chicago Bears, St. Louis Cardinals and NASCAR. Greg was known by friends and family as "Gregory Lee the Flying Flea National # of 93". Surviving are his parents, Jim and Charyl Wagenknecht of Freeport; his brother, Tim (Stacey) Wagenknecht of Rockford. Also surviving are aunts, uncles and cousins. Gregory was preceded in death by his grandparents and four uncles. Visitation will be Thursday June 25, 2015 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Burke Tubbs Funeral Home, Freeport.
