Grace Marcella Bell-FryGrace Marcella Bell-Fry, 92, of Champaign, passed away on Sunday July 30, 2017 at her home in Champaign, IL. Formerly of Camden, Indiana. She was born on April 19, 1925 in Walton, IN to Emmett H. and Bertha (Stephenson) Burkett. Grace married Evan Dale Bell on December 20, 1940 in Logansport, IN and he passed away on July 18, 1983. She married Harry Irvin Fry on December 10, 1988 in Logansport, IN and he passed away on March 27, 2009. Grace is survived by her children Betty (James) Bell Gauze, Lawrence L. (Eva) Bell, and Barbara K. "Babs" (Gerald) Bell Hajdusiewicz; grandchildren Kregg (Jenny Sears) Sanders, Kelly Grace (G. Scott) Allhands, James A. (Linda Garczynski), Donna Gauze, Steven B. (Deana) Gauze, Tricia Lynn (Jeffrey) Fox, Nicholas Ari Hajdusiewicz, and Allison E. (Jenny Robertson) Hajdusiewicz; great-grandchildren Joshua Sanders, Kato Sanders, Syrus Sears, Makayla Sears, Chelsea Allhands, Evan Allhands, Ryan Gauze, Kaylee Gauze, Danika Garczynski, Adam Gauze, Cora Leigh Gauze, Garrett Gauze, Timothy Evan Fox, Darin David Fox, Madeleine Victoria Fox, Willa Hajdusiewicz, Phineas Hajdusiewicz; great-great-grandchildren Madison, Jackson, Braxton, and Kaynin; sister Pauline Baber; nieces and nephews Mary Edith Titus, Marlene Lindach, Becky Forney, Diane Achgill, Sharon Denhardt, Norman Snyder, Shirley Griffin, Shelly Wiseley, Sheila Troutman, Marie Totten, Pamela Dove, Bobby Burkett, Kevin Burkett, Ronald Burkett, Phyllis Cooksey, Russell Baber, Carmen Baber, and Rita Hettinger; sisters-in-law Sue Burkett and Dixie Burkett; honorary granddaughter Kaili Yun; Living Angels Pastor Sheryl Palmer, Evelyn DuPriest, Wanda (Vince) Haschek-Hock, Corina Mira, , Terry and Nancy Dolan, Moder (late Zeenat) Attarwalla, Jimmy and Shirley Howe, Sue Kumler, DeAnna Williams, and Bobby Swann; "Team Grace Caregivers" June 2017 to now and always- Georgiana Schuster, Amy Love, Karen Palmisano, Kaleigh Adams, Linda Edmunds. Grace was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; grandson Darin E. Bell; siblings Joe Burkett, Ed Burkett, Helen Cunningham, Margaret Snyder, Donald Burkett, Raymond Burkett, David Burkett, and Clifford Burkett; nieces and nephews Jean Creviston, Carol Stacey, Linda White, Carolyn White, Mike Burkett, and Clifford Burkett; sisters-in-law Donna Burkett, Helen Burkett, and Mary Burkett. Grace was a devoted wife and mother, and grandmother, a noted cook and piemaker. She restored antique furniture for her home and others. Grace raised chickens and produce for the family food. She created specialty handmade lamp shades and designer clothing for her children. Grace managed a small restaurant on highway 25 in Burrows, Indiana for many years. She retired from Essex Wire in Flora, Indiana after working many years in production, always excelling her quota. A celebration of Grace's life will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 6pm at Faith United Methodist Church, 1719 S. Prospect Ave. Champaign, IL 61820. Reverend Dr. Sheryl Palmer will officiate. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 4pm-6pm at the church. An additional memorial service will be held on Monday, August 7, at Burrows, Indiana Presbyterian church at 10am Eastern Time with family greeting and welcoming the community that raised the Bell children with lunch following. Graveside committal will take place on Monday, August 7, 2017 at 2pm Eastern Time at Woodville Cemetery, a city block South of Grace's lifetime residence in Carroll County, IN.Memorial gifts may be made in Grace's name to Carle Hospice, Burrows, IN Presbyterian Church, Faith United Methodist Church, Crisis Nursery, or the American Cancer Association.
