FLACK Grace M. Flack passed away peacefully on February 1, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Grace is predeceased by her parents, Albert and Isabel Flack, and her brother, Albert W. Flack, Sr. Grace was born on February 7, 1930 in Newark, New Jersey. In 1953, at the age of 23, she moved to Jacksonville where she pursued a career at Prudential Insurance Company. Grace was a strong, independent woman who was not afraid to speak her mind. She excelled in her profession and became one of Prudential's first female managers. Her career at Prudential spanned 36 years until her retirement in 1989. Grace enjoyed traveling, especially to Europe, Hawaii, Alaska and Mexico. She was an avid reader and enjoyed FSU and Jaguar football games. She loved to sew, knit and crochet. Over the years, she made countless handmade baby outfits, blankets, Halloween costumes and argyle socks. Grace was generous, thoughtful and passionate about her family. She was a loyal friend, a caring sister-in-law to Ann Flack, and a loving aunt to her nieces, Cheri Jones(Don) and Julie Meyer(Tim); her nephews Bill Flack(Lisa) and Jim Flack; 11 great nieces and nephews; and 2 great-great nieces. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Hardage-Giddens Greenlawn Funeral Home located at 4300 Beach Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32207.
