AVILLA — Glenn L. Rowe, 86, died Friday July 3, 2015 at Presence Sacred Heart in Avilla. Mr. Rowe was born on Dec. 19, 1928 in LaGrange County to the late Walter G. and Grace (Mathews) Rowe. Glenn was a farmer and also worked for the LaGrange County Farm Bureau Co-Op as a crop specialist from 1972 until his retirement in 1993. He lived most of his life in LaGrange County but moved to Noble County in 2000. He was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church of LaGrange and a 50-year member of the LaGrange Rotary Club. On May 29, 1949 he married Evelyn V. Spidel in South Milford. She preceded him in death on Dec. 29, 2014. Surviving are three daughters and two sons-in-law, Barbara and Larry Gitt of Polk City, Florida, Linda and Jim Hooley of Kendallville and Rebecca Rowe of LaGrange; a son and daughter-in-law, Larry D., M.D. and Gerri Rowe of Fort Wayne; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Rowe, Richard Rowe and Jean LeRoy Rowe. Funeral Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the 1st United Methodist Church of LaGrange, 209 West Spring St., LaGrange. The Rev. Chris Lantz will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, LaGrange. Calling will be Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the Frurip-May Funeral Home, 309 West Michigan St. LaGrange.
