RACINE - Glenn H. Johnson, 92, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 7, 2016 at The Woods of Caledonia Assisted Living Center. Glenn was born on June 10, 1923 to Glenn and Frances (nee: Benson) Johnson. He honorably served our country in the United States Army during World War II overseas. On October 17, 1959 Glenn was united in marriage to Dorothy L. Kapow, who preceded him in death on February 11, 2000. He worked as a surveyor and engineer for Wisconsin Public Service for more than 35 years. Glenn was a lifetime member of the Experimental Aircraft Association and was very active in Careers Industries. He was an inventor and tinkerer, spending many hours in his basement workshop building everything from TVs and computers to a sailboat and a helicopter. Until his last days, when asked how he was, Glenn would always reply, Top of the world. Glenn will be dearly missed by his sister, Gloria Tischer; many nieces, grandnieces and nephews, and great-grandnieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Frances; his wife, Dorothy; his son, Marc; and his infant son, Scott.
