Glenis Marie StevensKnoxville, TNGlenis Marie Wood Stevens, of South Knoxville, passed away at home in the companionship of her family on Sunday, April 9, 2017 after a brief battle with aggressive pancreatic cancer. Glenis was born on May 4, 1966 to William Harold Wood and Evelyn Ramsey Wood. Glenis graduated with honors from Carson Newman College with her degrees in Social Work and Long-Term Healthcare, and went on to a passionate career as a social worker in long-term care facilities for fifteen years. She loved her "little old people" and went above and beyond the call of duty to care for her residents. Glenis is preceded in death by her father, William Harold Wood. She is survived by her husband, Eddie Stevens; mother, Evelyn Ramsey Wood; and daughter, Kaitlyn Moore.Family will receive friends Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Berry Funeral Home, 3704 Chapman Highway, with a service at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Daniel Ogle officiating. Family will have a private interment.
