September 16, 1924 - November 15, 2016Gladys (Curley Barr) P. Novak passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at the age of 92. She was born on September 16, 1924 in Yoakum, Texas to the late John and Katie (Bauer/Luck) Bare. Gladys is survived by children Mike (Cassie) Novak and Cathy (Bill) Davis. Gladys is also survived by 5 grandchildren: Catherine (Matthias), Steven (Sabina), Chris (Jodi), Scott (Crystal) and Robert, 9 great grand-children, and several nieces, nephews, longtime friends Martha and Vi, along with many other friends. Gladys graduated from Shiner High School in 1941, worked at Joske's, the Telephone Company and later retired from the Oblate Provincial Office. Gladys was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years Bill Novak, brother, Robert Barr; sisters, Betty Stewart, Katherine Middaugh, Lucky Menning, Bobbye Hays, and Mabel Schlenker.SERVICESVisitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 PM on Monday, November 21, 2016 along with a Rosary at 7PM at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. A Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at 2:00 PM at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church, 700 Dewhurst. Interment will be Friday, November 25, 2016 at 9AM at Ft.
