Gladys Marie MeeMaw Jones LUBBOCK-Graveside services for Gladys Marie MeeMaw Jones, 84, of Lubbock will be 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, 2017, in the City of Lubbock Cemetery with Rev. Lawrence Gaumond and Pastor Susan Felty officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Sanders Funeral Home. Marie passed away Jan. 18, 2017, at her home. Marie was born on Feb. 11, 1932, in Estacado, Texas, to parents, Royce and Mable Sikes. Marie married S.N. Deacon Jones, Jr. in 1948. She helped her husband run their farm in the Roosevelt Community. She was also employed at Hemphill Wells and Lonestar Auto Auction. Marie was a member of Canyon United Methodist Church of Lubbock. Loved ones include daughter, Janis Jones of Georgetown, Texas, daughter, Kay Davis of Ransom Canyon, Texas, son, Neil Jones and spouse, Marianne of Lubbock, Texas, daughter, Lynn Davis and spouse, Glenn of Lubbock, Texas, Terry Jones of Dallas, Texas, and daughter, Tammi Jones of Lubbock, Texas; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be made to Lubbock Meals on Wheels and Canyon United Methodist Church, 217 FM 1729; Lubbock, TX 79403.
