Gilbert L. "Gib" McMillan, 81, of Vandalia, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.Per Gib's wishes, his body will be cremated. He married Mary A. Mitchell on Sept. 11, 1956, in Vandalia; she preceded him in death on Nov. 12, 2008.Gib was a retired electrician for Crane Packing in Vandalia. He was a hot rod enthusiast, and enjoyed meeting with friends to talk cars.He is survived by his son, Tim McMillan and his wife Stacy of Brownstown; grandchildren, Erin Hines-Sash and her husband Steve, Caitlin Reinhold and her husband Adam, and Kyle Batson; nieces and nephews; and brother- and sister-in-laws.He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brother, Robert McMillan; sister, Betty Jones; and granddaughter, Amber McMillan.
