Brunette, Geraldine "Gerry"Geraldine "Gerry" Brunette, 89, Green Bay, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017. She was born on March 8, 1928, in Green Bay to Albert and Magdaline ("Lena") Gerlikovski. Gerry graduated from Green Bay East High School. On January 20, 1968, she married George Brunette at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and they shared 48 years of marriage, until his death on April 16, 2016.Gerry worked in the business office of Fairmont Foods for over 20 years, until she left to raise her daughter. She volunteered for many years in the Holy Family School library, and served as the head of the Cleaning Committee at St. Agnes Church from 1973 through 2016.Gerry enjoyed many arts and crafts and was best known for creating beautiful ceramics and knitted afghans. She often donated her creations to local retirement communities and hospitals. She also faithfully supported the Green Bay Packers by attending almost all of the home games since the Ice Bowl.Gerry is survived by a daughter and son-in- law, Rachelle and Dan Henry; two granddaughters, Paige and Kendall; a sister-in-law, Betty Gerlikowski, several nieces, nephews and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George Brunette; two brothers, Ambrose Gerlikowski, Alden (Eunice) Gerlikovski; and a sister, Evelyn (Bede) Baeten.Friends may call at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1484 Ninth St., from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, April 1. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the church with Rev. Patrick C. Beno officiating. Entombment will take place in the Allouez Chapel Mausoleum, in the Veteran's Wall of Honor, beside George. Blaney Funeral Home is assisting the family.
