After graduation, Gerald began working with Naval Ordnance in Louisville and then at the Corpus Christi Army Depot in Corpus Christi, TX. Simultaneously, Gerald was active in the United States Navy Reserve and served in multiple capacities to provide food service for the troops during routine summer deployments and other service related activities.
