Ott, Gerald P.Gerald P. "Jerry" Ott, 90, passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2017, following a ten-and-a-half-year battle with lymphoma. He was born on May 13, 1927 to Michael and Marie (Dreckmann) Ott. Gerald was a medic in the Army Air Corps during WWII. After the war he worked for Hummel and Downing Papermill in Milwaukee, WI. Later Gerald worked at Wisconsin Electric for 36 years, and retired in 1980. On April 22, 1950 he married Clara Biever at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Port Washington, WI. In his early years Gerald enjoyed his bowling leagues, woodworking and camping for over 40 years. Gerald always took great pride in his perfect lawn. Later in life Gerald and Clara moved to Green Bay to be closer to their family. They became members of St. Jude Catholic Church where he ushered for many years, and was known as the "smiling usher". Survivors include his wife of 67 and a half years, Clara; his children, Michael Ott, Susan and Steven Barnes, Ann and Peter Seidenstricker; five grandchildren, Nathanael (Stacy) Barnes, Katherine Barnes, Aaron (Kristine) Barnes, Mary (William) Campbell, Jay (Elizabeth) Seidenstricker; five great grandchildren, Shawn, Owen, Garret, Miranda, and Maggie; and also, two step-great grandchildren, Joseph and Thomas.Gerald was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Marie Ott; a sister, Marcella (Tom) Eberle; two sisters-in-law, Celia (Gilbert) Duarte, and Esther (Robert) Hermann; and a brother-in-law, Harold (Margaret) Biever.Friends may call at St Jude Catholic Church, 1420 Division St., from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, with Rev. Donald Everts officiating. Entombment will be in Fort Howard Memorial Park. To send online condolences, please go to
