Gerald "Jay" Fabin Mosher Jr.HesperiaGerald "Jay" Fabin Mosher Jr., age 64, of Hesperia passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 10, 2016, at Spectrum Health Services - Gerber Memorial. Gerald was born on May 26, 1952, in Lansing to Gerald F. and Dora Louisa (Fenby) Mosher and later married Lind Kay Trent on August 14, 2004. Jay took great pride in his responsibility as head custodian for the Michigan State Football facility in East Lansing and more recently worked for the Hesperia School Systems. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, his music, and was a huge MSU fan. Jay was a man of faith. His loud, short, and adamant prayers will be missed at family gatherings. There was a contagious good mood and friendly acceptance of all in his presence. He impressed us with his incredible knowledge of trees and shared life lessons with his 14 grandchildren, who lovingly called him Pa Jay.Gerald is survived by his loving wife, Linda; his children, Stacy (Steve Kunin) Mosher of Evart, Alan Mosher of Austin, Texas, and Daniel Mosher of Lansing; stepchildren, Shondi (Tim) Carter of Holt, Alaina (Shane) Finnerty of Lansing, Nicholas (Danielle) Trent of Holt, and Kylie Trent of Lansing; 14 grandchildren; sisters, Dorothy (David) Montgomery, Judy (Joe) Gardner, Cindy (Ron) Rehkopf, and Linda (Jim) Hatt. Jay was preceded by his brother, Buddy.Friends and family are gathering for a Life Celebration Luncheon at the Hesperia Middle School at 2 PM on Saturday, November 19, 2016, prior to a brief memorial at Claybanks Township Park on Lake Michigan, (near Stony Lake).
