Georgia Hamilton, 55, of Savannah, Georgia transitioned peacefully with family at her side July 15, 2018. Georgia was born January 3, 1963 in Memorial Hospital and spent many summers in Atlanta, Ga. She was the first child of Ivan and Mary Hamilton , and lastly deceased in her family. She was a 1982 graduate of Savannah High School. She attended Erudite School of Nursing in Atlanta and graduated July 1, 1986. She began her nursing career at Memorial Hospital, followed by the Candler hospital (which had several names through the years) until she retired in 2008. She and Michael Riley were married Nov. 10, 1982 in Savannah, GA. They divorced Sep. 30, 1997. Survivors include sons, Jordan Riley, Dominique Kanada and (Wife)Andrea, Maurice Kanada, Stacy Riley and (Wife)Quinese, Jeremy, Gary(Tub) and (Wife)Tiffany, Veva, Mason, and Danny Riley, 4 grandchildren, Mike Kanada Melody Hamilton, Shawn Immroth, Michelle Hamilton; 11 great grandchildren, Cody, Ziana, Trisa, and Wes Immroth, Michael Boyd, Damian Wenrich, Branson, and Kaine Stecklein, Tyler Kanada, and Dakota Kanada ,James. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Pete and Gerald Hamilton; sister, Betty Hamilton; daughter, Georgia Riley; grandchild, Vince Riley.

Visitation will be 1:00 to 6:00 pm Sunday, July 21, 2018 at Pollard Funeral Home, Atlanta. Funeral service will be 10:00 am Monday, July 23, 2018 at the Union Branch Baptist Church, Atlanta, with Rev. Alvin Petty presiding.
