George D. ShultzZANESVILLE: George D. Shultz, 73, lifelong resident of Zanesville, passed away on Monday May 25, 2015 at Genesis-Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born on September 6, 1941 in Zanesville a son of the late Richard and Rosemary (Wyatt) Shultz. He was a veteran of the United States
Army. He was a former member of the Newton Township Volunteer Fire Department where he served as a squad captain. He was a truck driver for 30 years, retiring from Alvan Trucking Company. He attended Meadow Farm Methodist Church. He is survived by his children Katrina (Keith) Forsythe of Zanesville, Dana Shultz of Florida, Drew (Liz) Shultz of Alabama, and Darin (Chanda) Shultz of Zanesville; 10 grandchildren Amber, Christopher (Nikki), Jeremy, Justin, Emily, Caleb, Cote, Katie, Michaela, and Maggie; six great-grandchildren Syrenity, Jleiunna, Azra, Morgan, Ryver, and Christopher Jr.; one brother, Richard Shultz; five sisters, Jo Ann Bates, Betty Griffin, Patsy McCoy, Carol (Arthur) Burns, and Donna (Tom) Burns. Many nieces, nephews, family, and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Virginia Kay (Barrell) Shultz. granddaughter Ashley Dennis. One brother Edward Shultz. Friends may call from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Thursday,. May 28, 2015 at William Thompson & Son Funeral Home 5765 Gladstone Drive White Cottage where funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, May 29, 2015. Rev. Paul Ashbrook officiating.
