George Goulet, Sr.Age: 82 • South BurlingtonGeorge Goulet Sr. passed away on March 22, 2017 at home. He was born on February 22, 1935 in Colchester to Albert and Rena (Bacon) Goulet of Charlotte. He was married to his childhood sweetheart, MaryAnn (St. Amour) Goulet, for over 64 years and they built a successful business together, Goulet & Son Painting. They had five children, Rosalie Messick of St. Albans, Sandra Fortier of South Burlington, Sharon Veilleux and her husband Michael of Essex Jct., Rhonda Dawson and her husband David of Essex Jct., and George Goulet, Jr. of Burlington. He was blessed with 19 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren. George was proud of all his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. He is pre-deceased by his 5 siblings; his daughter-in-law Brenda Goulet; and sons-in-law Frederick Katon, Daniel Messick and Lyndon Fortier. George loved traveling, dancing, playing cards, and sharing stories about his life and words of wisdom. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 25th, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. John Vianney Church, 160 Hinesburg Rd., South Burlington, VT 05403.
