Gary L. Bushman MENASHA – Gary L. Bushman, formerly of Racine, passed away at home on Monday, May 5, 2014 at the age of 65. He was born on December 10, 1948, son of the late Peter and Carla (nee: Andersen) Bushman. Gary graduated from Wm. Horlick High School in 1967, and then graduated from the Milwaukee Institute of Technology with a degree in Chemistry. Gary was called to serve in the US Army, and proudly served from 1970 – 1972. Gary was a chemical engineer at Kimberly-Clark for 30 years, retiring in 2001. He thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Gary was a patriotic member of the American Legion; the Experimental Aircraft Association; and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association. Gary is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Peter and Linda Bushman of Mt. Pleasant; sister-in-law. Vicki Bushman of Racine; nieces and nephews, Susan Czuper of Cleveland, Ohio, Steven Bushman of Oshkosh, Jennifer (Travis) Laib of Pleasant Prairie, and Michael (Kirsten) Bushman of Milwaukee; great-nieces and great-nephews, Jessica Bushman, Tyler and Lauren Laib, Christian and Kara Bushman; great-great-niece Alexis Wood; his good friend and neighbor, Sue Bethkal of Menasha; as well as other relatives and friends. He was also preceded in death by his brother, David Bushman. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 6:30pm on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 with Rev. Lawrence Williams officiating. Visitation will begin at 5pm. Internment and military honors will take place at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Park at 10am on Thursday, May 15, 2014.
