Georgia, GaryGary N. Georgia, 69, died peacefully on Thursday, July 20, 2017, after a short illness, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 24, 1948, to Norman and Eleanor (Kleczewski) Georgia in Green Bay, where he was a lifelong resident. Gary was a starting defensive lineman on the undefeated football team for Green Bay East High School from which he graduated in 1966. He owned and operated American Transfer & Storage for many years and was employed in the transport business with Calco Express and Graebel Van Lines.Gary was a generous person with a great sense of humor and was always the life of the party. He loved spending time with his family, especially the children. He enjoyed watching Packers and Brewers games and in his earlier years he enjoyed fishing, bowling and bingo.Gary will be deeply missed by his mother, Eleanor; a sister, Gloria Georgia; 2 brothers, Duane (Karla) and Mark (Brenda) Georgia; Judi Kaye; Daniel (Julie) Loggins; nieces and nephews, Matthew (Jamie) Georgia, Jaclyn (Andrew) Voigt, Kayla (John) Zimdars, Nicole (Josh) Vogel, Jessica Georgia and Emma Georgia; great nieces and nephews and many other relatives.He was preceded in death by his father Norman Georgia.Visitation will be held at St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church, 645 S. Irwin Ave., from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass on Tuesday, July 25, 2017. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday at Church with Rev. Robert Rhyner officiating.
