CORUNNA — Garcile I. Brandeberry, age 89, of Corunna passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at Betz Nursing Home in Auburn. Mrs. Brandeberry was born on March 27, 1927, in DeKalb County to William and Dessie (Whitman) Diehm. She married Donald J. Brandeberry on Jan. 18, 1959, in Corunna. He preceded her in death on Aug. 29, 2007. Mrs. Brandeberry worked for Renaissance Publishing Co. in Auburn for 40 years, retiring in 1990. She attended the Auburn Church of the Nazarene and she also attended the Grace Baptist Church in Angola. She was a loving wife, loving mother and a super grandmother. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Vondelee and George Showalter of Corunna, Kathy and Henry Quail of Elizabeth, Colorado, Donna and Cecil Yoder of Yuma, Arizona; seven grandchildren, Judith Showalter, Raymond Yoder, Rachelle Yoder, Barbie Yoder, Jimmy Quail, Trudy Chambers and Jody Brodrick; 19 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Don and Doris Lilly of Blountstown, Florida; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald Brandeberry; four sisters, Estelle Marks, Lucille Dickerhoff, Ruby McCann and Annabelle Crowder; and one brother, William Diehm Jr. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 15, 2016, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Auburn Church of the Nazarene, 2301 N. Main St. in Auburn. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Auburn Church of the Nazarene with an hour of visitation prior to the funeral service. Pastor Doug Thomas of the Auburn Church of the Nazarene will officiate. Burial will in Fairfield Cemetery in Corunna.
