FREDA HERMANWhat can you say about such a wonderful mother, grandmother, wife, sister, friend? That she was remarkable? That she was kind? That she was overwhelmingly loved… Freda Alvina Herman was born on March 3, 1926 in Vancouver, BC to Peter and Margaret Herman. She became a teacher, and soon found love with Charles Herman. On July 5, 1952 they were wed, and Freda left her beloved mountains of BC and followed her husband to the wide sunny prairies. There they raised five children, Doug (Jacquie), Neil, Gerald (George), Alan (Janice), and Kathy. She was later blessed with six grandchildren, Jake (Kelsie), Luc, Miranda, Becky, Dakota, and Margot, as well as a great- grandchild, Madelyn. Freda passed away peacefully in her home, as she wished, with her family always present during her final months. A Celebration of Freda's Life will be held in a private family ceremony.
