Frank Borjon, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend went to be with The Lord on November 25, 2016 after a short, but difficult battle with cancer. Frank was born on April 2, 1933 in Bakersfield, CA. however his home was in Wasco, CA. He was the son of Joe Borjon and Poppy Velarde. He moved to Porterville in 1951.He entered the military and served in Korea for two years in the US Army. He later owned a local store and went on to become a head cook at the state hospital for 31 years. He was a man with many interests. He enjoyed photography, airplanes, cars and tinkering with technology. He also enjoyed gardening and other outdoor activities. His biggest passion was cooking and he loved sharing new recipes with his family. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Betty Borjon, his son Michael Borjon (Georgeanne), and his two daughters, Erlinda Leopold (Mike) and Karen Hanes (Richard). He has six grandchildren; Micah Borjon (Sarah), Amber Morales (Marcial), Amanda Smith (Ramon), Crystal Garcia (Jesse), Brittany Leopold (Johnny), and Gabriel Leopold. He is also blessed with two great grandchildren; Isabella Morales and Marcus Garcia. He is also survived by his brothers, Joe Borjon Jr, Robert Borjon, Reuben Borjon and his sister Linda Rodriguez. He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Richard "Dickie" Borjon, Danny Borjon, Ralph Romero, Benji Romero and Tommy "Beetle" Sanchez.Viewing will be held from 3-8pm at Whitehurst • Peters • Loyd Funeral & Cremation Service in Porterville.Services will be held graveside on Friday at 10:00am at Hillcrest Cemetery in Porterville.
