Frank Ruben Mora, 93, a longtime resident of Wagon Mound and a former resident of Raton, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at his residence in Wagon Mound.He was born on March 8, 1919, in Wagon Mound to Roque and Vivianita Mora. He worked for the New Mexico State Highway Department as a surveyor for 25 years. He enjoyed traveling and working in his rock garden. He was a historian and wrote many newspaper articles. He was a life member of VFW Post 1793 and a Life Member of American Legion in Raton. He was preceded in death by his parents: Roque Mora and Vivianita; sons: Frank Mora Jr. and Juan Mora; spouse: Rosie Mora; daughter: JoAnna Mora.He is survived by his daughters: Mabel Montoya and husband Benny and Patricia Martinez and Anselmo both of Wagon Mound; step-sons: John Apodaca and girlfriend Anita of Wagon Mound, Danny Mora of Raton; grandchildren: JoAnna Martinez, Barbara Leon, Carlos Martinez, Mark Martinez, Amy Martinez, Gerod Mora, Heath Mora, and Kain Mora; 18 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.All services are pending.Visit Rogers Mortuary's website: www.rogersmortuarynm.com to sign their online register book.Arrangements are under the direction of Rogers Mortuary Las Vegas, 1-800-479-3511 or 425-3511.
